Unexpected Blessing

In a slew of many blessings, being a Thirty One consultant has been a huge blessing to my family.  I've been thinking a lot about that lately.  What started out as just something I jumped into for fun and purses/bags, has turned into something that God has used in my life to bless others.  This is my 2nd year anniversary.  I started selling in November 2010.  In my first year I earned a trip to Disney.  We took that trip last December and it is by far one of the most memorable trips we have taken as a family.  In the second year I earned a Best Buy gift card of $750 in which I bought an IPad for my family.  The financial rewards of commission off of parties is also beneficial to my family and provides us with extra to use or give.  Honestly though the financial rewards are not what keep me in this company.  The relationships do.

Several times I have thought about quitting . .  .don't have time, etc. Honestly, Emma usually helps me at parties while the boys do boy stuff, and it rarely takes time away from my family.  I usually enter parties while the kids are in bed. Every time I think about quitting God opens a door for me in this company.  I now lead a team of Eight Magnificent Women!  My recruits are now recruiting and there is nine total including me on my little team.   My team is part of a large team called Team REACH.  My Director, Rita, is such an inspiration.  She is perky, and enthusiastic. She loves the Lord and the women He has placed in her life.  The goal of Thirty One is to celebrate, encourage, and reward women and she does that wonderfully.   She is not only invested in the business of everyone underneath her but invested in our lives as well.  We have a Facebook group where she can stay in contact with us.  She is in Kentucky and her team is all over the map.  We all communicate with each other through this page.

Those of you know me, know Women's Ministry is my passion.  This is what I love about this page.  We talk about our products, our business, etc but we also are real, authentic, wives and moms on this group.  Just recently someone had a prayer request.  Several women jumped on that thread with prayer, and words of encouragement.  How great is it to know women all over the map are lifting you up in your struggles.

The other aspect of this business is the opportunity to talk about the love of God and my relationship with Him.  Thirty One is a Christian based company that talks about faith and relationship with Jesus.  The first conference I went to for Thirty One I was so awed by the fact that we prayed together, worshipped together, and talked about making God the center of our business. A lot of our games are evangelistic in nature.  There is one I like to play at parties called the island game.  Everything having to do with this game has a faith counterpart where you talk about the Proverbs 31 woman (what Thirty One was named for) and a relationship with Jesus. I will never forget how nervous I was playing this game at a party full of college girls!

Below are some photos from our Disney trip last December courtesy of
Thirty One!  Best memory there---during the Christmas party they make it snow on Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom! Seriously where else can you get snow in Florida but Disney!?
