Winter Nesting

After Christmas I start my winter "nesting". I think it is partly to cure those post holiday blues. I do actually love winter though. I don't suffer from SAD like many of my friends. Winter for us means more family time because we have less farm responsibilities. With all that being said though, I know that we will spend many more days and hours indoors so that gives me some time to focus on my hobbies like crafting. A few weeks ago one of my friends turned me on to Pinterest. You have to apply for an account, unless invited by a friend. I waited for my invitation and then I was in! Wow!! There are so many cool ideas on Pinterest. It spans from recipes, to crafts, to products, to organizational tips, etc. You name it and you could probably find it on pinterest. I often feel sad taking down my Christmas decor, so I was pleased to find this winter wreath idea that I could keep up all winter. It was a blast to complete and very easy! Emma and I also made some homemade lip gloss from Vaseline and Kool-Aid that is both tasty and useful!! We plan on packaging it very cute and giving it as Valentine's gifts. Next on the agenda: I am going to be making my own organic soap. If you haven't checked out Pinterest you should!
